Summer Dream

I know I am always going on about things I like in SL, so it will not surprise you that I am about to add yet another.  The thing I love about SL is the readiness of people to get behind causes and to support people from all different countries when they are in need.  When a city in Aryaland was decimated by an earthquake the people of SL raised money to send to the Red Cross in NZ, as they do for Relay for Life and other amazing organisations.

Today I am going to show you some items from the EB Event.  This is an event promoting awareness of Epidermolysis Bullosa which is a rare genetic disorder that causes extremely fragile skin that blisters and tears from friction or trauma. It affects 1 child out of every 20,000 so that means about 200 children a year are born with EB.

The EB Event was created to raise awareness of EB and funds for Debra of America (Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa Research Association of America).  "DebRA is the only national non-profit dedicated to funding research and providing services and programs for those with EB."

You get to support this event by shopping and knowing that your money goes towards this worthwhile cause.
