The Queenes Alman
Today's inspiration is a piece by composer William Byrd called The Queenes Alman. It was originally written for harpsichord or virginals sometime in the 1580s-1590s and is based on the then popular song 'Une jeune fillette', which is about a girl who became a nun against her will. It was supposedly written for the entertainment of Elizabeth I, but there is some debate surrounding this.
There is, however, no debate about my gorgeous gown and accessories from the Renaissance Festival.
The gown is from YOKANA and is called Eloise. I am wearing the Red version, but it comes in other stunning colours as well.
The crown is called Artu and comes from VESTA. It comes with a hud so you can alter the colour to match what you are wearing. Is also super easy to make fit to your head size.
My choker is from Viki and is simply called Ribbon Chocker. It also comes with a hud so you can pick the colour that works for you.
A reminder that the Renaissance Festival is for the purpose of benefitting Strides Against Breast Cancer, so you can spend with the knowledge that you are supporting a wonderful and necessary cause.
